NEW FOR 2019

2019

We welcome these new additions to the 2019 Festival

Artisan:  Jim Rubley, 50 years as a Blacksmith, worked for the Smithsonian Institute doing research and identifying items created by blacksmiths from America's earliest years. He worked for Ely Lily and created authentic versions of both English and German metal works from the 1600s and 1700s for the authentic settlements he purchased in Indiana. Jim also has the Daniel Boone family's permission to reproduce the exact knife he carried throughout his lifetime.

Music: A WWII style USO show will be performed including many different performers. There will be the Rose Hips who do an Andrews Sisters style of performance, swing dancers, fire twirling and juggling. Music from the WWII period and more.

Demonstration: Spinning demonstrations put on by Julie Davidson and Shirley Herschberger. They will be making all types of vintage items using their spinning wheels. Some items will even be for sale.

Games: Vintage kids games from the early 1800's. The youngsters get to actually play like the kids from 150 years ago.

Re-enactors: There will be a Civil War skirmish between Southern Raiders and Indiana Yankees. They will be recreating in a sense the Battle of Corydon, IN.

Flag Raising: The American Legion Post 27 will be doing the Flag Raising on Saturday this year.
