The Yellow River Festival is celebrating its 12th year in 2018 and will take place at the new River Park Square on the Yellow River in downtown Plymouth. The festival's closest neighbor is Farmer's Market which is open Saturday mornings. The festival was started at the suggestion of Mayor Gary Cook of Plymouth, Indiana. In its start it was only a one day event with a parade and has since grown to a two-day event. The festival has seen over 4,000 visitors in recent years and continues to grow. It is always held the first weekend in June.
